IS SPORTS CESTOBALL A FORM OF BASKETBALL?
Netball, a team sport that began in Argentina in the late 19th century, and cestoball are quite similar to one another. The majority of women that participate in the sport at the collegiate level in Argentina are female. To make the classic Argentine sport known as "pelota al cesto" (ball to basket) more dynamic and to bring its rules more closely in line with korfball and netball, the sport's name was changed to Cestoball during the conference in Buenos Aires and Santa Rosa in 1986.
A court that is 28 meters long by 16 meters wide (with maximum and minimum measurements stipulated in the regulations) and divided by a central line is used for a Cestoball competition between two teams of six players each.
One basket is present on the field of play in each half of the court, 5 meters from the finish line. You can now score goals from anywhere in your immediate area. The baskets are 50 centimeters in diameter and 3 meters and 30 cm tall.
The idea of the game is to put the ball into the hoop as many times as you can to score goals. Running with the ball is not permitted per the rules. To advance the ball up field, balls must be passed.
Anywhere on the field can be used to score goals by shooting the ball. Field goals made during regular play are worth two points, while free throws only count for one. The winning team is the one with the most points at the end of the contest. The ball is round, wrapped in synthetic leather or another material, and packed with bast or other non-rebounding materials.
The inaugural competition of the specialty was conducted in Villa Gesell that year, making Cestoball one of the first sports in the world to have its modality on sand. It swiftly spread across the nation, using various sets of regulations depending on the area. 토토
